Bicycle Rentals
Nearly everyone on Hilton Head Island owns a bicycle and many ride daily whether for transportation, recreation, or exercise. All of the plantations have bike trails, and the Island has developed a bike path system that nearly stretches end to end. In addition to the bike path system the Island is blessed with a superb beach which at low tide is smoother than a newly paved highway, making it simple to ride the beach's 12 mile length.
The beach, combined with the bike path system makes island cycling a relaxing treat and a convenient form of transportation. If you do not have room to bring your bikes, don't fret since there are numerous bicycle rental companies willing to deliver what you need. For safety reasons wear a helmet, use a horn or bell, and be aware of your surroundings. Keep peddling and have fun!
