This
oceanfront community, located on the "instep"
of the Island, is comprised of the North and South Forest
Beach areas, which come together at the Coligny Circle and
Shopping Plaza. South Forest Beach offers beachfront homes,
high density beachfront condominiums, rental properties
and hotels. Residents and visitors are just a few minutes
away from the dining and shopping found along South Forrest
Beach Road and Pope Avenue. North Forest Beach is predominently
single family residences where 60's and 70's beach houses
are being replaced with modern, ocean oriented homes at
more affordable prices than the Atlantic oceanfront Plantations.
Forest Beach is one of the oldest beach communities on the
Island and its architecture is a mix of "old beach
house style" and modern Lowcountry manor homes.
