Hilton
Head Plantation, located between Port Royal Sound and the
Intracoastal Waterway, is the largest (nearly 4,000 acres),
the most age diverse, purely residential community on Hilton
Head Island. Some say that it is the "pulse" of
Hilton Head as many Island residents, both working and retired,
make their homes here. The Plantation features both villa
and single family homes. Located on the "ankle"
of the Island, Hilton Head Plantation has so much to offer
with the Spring Lake (swimming & tennis) Recreation
Area, Dolphin Head waterfront walking park, two nature conservancies
with long nature trails and boardwalks through the marsh,
the full service Skull Creek marina, many community swimming
pools and tennis courts, the Seabrook Farm shared gardening
area, a 7 mile leisure path system, 2 miles of beach and
great restaurants. This Plantation is home to the Country
Club of Hilton Head's semi-private 18 hole golf course designed
by Rees Jones, who also designed the award-winning Oyster
Reef and Bear Creek golf courses. The Plantation also has
a fourth, private Gary Player designed course, called Dolphin
Head.
