| Overlooking
the wide reaches of Broad Creek, Shelter Cove is located directly
across Highway 278 from Palmetto Dunes Plantation. Its 15 acre,
170 boat yacht basin is the largest deepwater marina on the
Island. It is surrounded by over 700 beautiful condominiums
and townhomes, with private swimming pools, and a Mediterranean
style village with delightful shops, galleries, restaurants
and open-air cafes (there are no single family homes). Shelter
Cove is the sight of some of the Island's signature festivals:
Harbour Fest, the annual summer-long celebration known for its
fabulous fireworks display every Tuesday night; and Wine Fest,
the largest outdoor, tented wine tasting event on the East Coast. |

At
the center of Shelter Cove, standing watch over the Harbour,
is a commanding statue of King Neptune, one of the worlds largest
working sundials. Because it is part of Palmetto Dunes, Shelter
Cove residents have access to the beaches and all the amenities
Palmetto Dunes offers.
